IMPORTANT: Please read these Terms carefully. Do not use this site if you do not agree to these Terms. By accessing and/or using the website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms without limitation or qualification.
Summary: Our website is provided for information and to request quotes/appointments. Actual cleaning services are provided by Pacific Maids LLC (DBA Pacific Maids) under separate service terms you may receive with your estimate, booking confirmation, invoice, or service agreement.
1. Scope and Definitions
Pacific Maids operates this website (the “Site”) and may provide other online interfaces (such as forms, booking tools, messaging, and other online services) (collectively, the “Services”) for your information and personal use.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies posted or provided to you, form a binding agreement between you and Pacific Maids.
2. Eligibility
This Site is offered only to users who are at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). By using the Site or Services, you represent that you meet this eligibility requirement and are authorized to enter into this agreement.
3. United States Use Only
This Site is operated from the United States and is intended for use by U.S. residents. You are responsible for compliance with any local laws that may apply to your access or use.
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
4. Changes to Terms and the Site
We may modify these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. Unless otherwise required by law, changes are effective immediately when posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or Services at any time, with or without notice.
5. Restrictions on Use
You agree not to use the Site or Services in any way that could harm Pacific Maids, our customers, or any third party, or that violates any law.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation or information you provide.
- Interfere with Site functionality, probe or scan vulnerabilities, or attempt to breach security.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, decrypt, or attempt to extract source code from the Site or related systems.
- Engage in unauthorized scraping, harvesting, or automated data collection.
- Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
- Upload or transmit malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses, or other harmful code.
- Engage in conduct that restricts others from using the Site or exposes anyone to harm or liability.
Violations may result in suspension or termination of access and may subject you to civil or criminal liability.
6. Quote Requests, Booking, and Communications
The Site may allow you to request a quote, appointment, or information. Submitting a request does not guarantee availability, pricing, or confirmation of service. We may contact you by phone, email, or text to confirm details, scheduling, and pricing.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for promptly notifying us of changes.
7. Payments, Billing, and Cancellation Policy
7.1 Payments
Payment terms may vary depending on the service type (one-time or recurring), payment method, and what is agreed in writing. If you provide a payment method for recurring services, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for scheduled services, approved add-ons, and applicable fees (including late cancellation or rescheduling fees) as described below or in your service agreement/invoice.
7.2 Estimates and Price Changes
Quotes are based on the information you provide and the expected condition/size of the home or facility. Final pricing may change if the scope changes, the condition differs materially from what was described, additional time is needed for health/safety reasons, or add-on services are requested/approved. We will communicate material changes when reasonably possible.
7.3 Minimum Charges and Arrival Windows
Some services may be subject to minimum service charges (such as a minimum visit length, minimum team-hours, or a minimum flat rate), which will be disclosed in your quote or service agreement.
To maintain quality and scheduling reliability, we may use arrival windows rather than exact arrival times. Arrival windows help us accommodate traffic, prior jobs, and on-site conditions.
7.4 Rescheduling and Cancellations
Unless your written service agreement states otherwise, we request at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment to avoid fees. If you provide less than 48 hours’ notice, you may be charged a fee up to the full price of the scheduled service.
For recurring service plans, skipping or repeatedly rescheduling visits may result in schedule changes and/or pricing adjustments (for example, if service frequency changes).
If you have an emergency, contact us as soon as possible. We may waive or reduce fees in our discretion where appropriate.
8. Cleaning Services Terms
8.1 Service Instructions and Scope
Our cleaning teams follow the scope outlined in your estimate, checklist, or service agreement. If you want to add services, you should request them in advance (ideally at least one business day before your appointment) so we can confirm feasibility and pricing.
8.2 Client Responsibilities
- Provide safe access (entry instructions, parking details, gate/door codes if applicable).
- Secure valuables, fragile items, cash, and small collectibles before the cleaning begins.
- Secure pets for the safety of your pets and our team.
- Disclose known hazards (e.g., broken steps/rails, aggressive pets, mold, biohazards, sharp objects).
- Notify us of special surface care requirements (natural stone, delicate finishes, specialty materials).
8.3 Equipment and Supplies
We generally use our own cleaning supplies and equipment. If you request that we use your products/tools, you accept responsibility for their suitability for your surfaces and agree that Pacific Maids is not liable for damage caused by customer-provided products or equipment.
8.4 Service Limitations
For safety and insurance reasons, the following limitations apply unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- We do not climb higher than a small step ladder (typically a two-step ladder).
- We do not move or lift heavy items (generally items over ~20 pounds) without prior arrangement.
- We do not clean areas with uncontrolled biohazards (e.g., blood, feces, urine, vomit) or hazardous materials.
- We do not handle firearms or weapons. If present, they must be secured before service.
- We do not provide pest remediation, mold remediation, or hazardous waste removal.
- We clean accessible “living/working spaces”; unfinished or extreme-condition areas may require special approval.
8.5 Breakage and Reporting
If damage or a loss is discovered, you must notify us within 24 hours of the service visit, with reasonable details and photos where possible. Claims are handled according to our internal process and any applicable insurance coverage.
8.6 Satisfaction Policy
If you are not satisfied with a specific area we cleaned, please notify us within 24 hours of service. When appropriate, we may return to re-clean the identified area at no additional charge. This policy does not apply to issues caused by pre-existing damage/conditions, normal wear and tear, or customer-provided products.
9. Intellectual Property
All information, materials, text, images, audio, video, computer code, software, and other content appearing on or provided through the Site and/or Services (collectively, the “Content”) is the property of Pacific Maids LLC (DBA Pacific Maids) and/or applicable third parties. No title or ownership rights are transferred to you under these Terms, or through your access to and/or use of the Services or Content.
Unless expressly permitted in writing, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, create derivative works from, transmit, or exploit any part of the Services or Content, except for personal, informational, and non-commercial use that keeps all copyright and other notices intact.
All rights in the name “Pacific Maids,” “Pacific Maids LLC,” and related trade names, logos, trademarks, service marks, and designs belong to Pacific Maids LLC or applicable licensors. Unauthorized use may infringe applicable rights.
10. Limitations of Liability and Waiver
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PACIFIC MAIDS LLC (DBA PACIFIC MAIDS) AND RELATED PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS SITE, SERVICES, OR CONTENT.
YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK OF LOSS RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF AND/OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE, SERVICES, AND/OR CONTENT.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED, YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO STOP USING THE SITE.
11. Privacy Policy
By using this Site or Services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to our Privacy Policy.
12. Non-Confidential Information
Except as stated in our Privacy Policy, any communication you send to us through the Site, email, text, or otherwise is non-confidential, and we may use it for any lawful purpose.
13. Links to Third-Party Sites
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own risk.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pacific Maids and related parties from claims arising from your use of the Site/Services, your content or communications, or violations of these Terms.
15. Dispute Resolution (Cleaning Quality; No Refunds; Home Conditions)
We want to resolve concerns quickly and fairly. If you have a dispute related to the Site, Services, or a cleaning visit, you agree to contact us first and give us a reasonable opportunity to respond.
24-hour notice required: Notify us within 24 hours after service for missed areas, with details and photos when possible.
Re-clean remedy: When appropriate, we may re-clean the reported area(s) at no additional charge.
No refunds: To the fullest extent permitted by law, payments are non-refundable; re-clean is the primary remedy unless the law requires otherwise.
Home temperature requirement: You agree to maintain a reasonable working temperature (A/C in heat, heat in cold) during service for safety. If conditions are unsafe, we may pause, reschedule, or stop service and minimum/fees may apply.
16. Supplemental Policies or Terms and Conditions
Additional terms may apply to specific services (estimate, booking confirmation, invoice, checklist). Those supplemental terms apply to the relevant service and do not replace these Terms unless stated.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
To the extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought individually and not as a class action.
18. Termination; Force Majeure; Entire Agreement; Enforceability; No Waiver
18.1 Termination
We may discontinue or restrict access to the Site at any time. You agree we are not liable if the Site is discontinued or your access is terminated.
18.2 Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, emergencies, strikes, shortages).
18.3 Entire Agreement; Enforceability; No Waiver
These Terms are the entire agreement for Site use. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
